Case Royal Haskoning DHV (11-12-13)
On December the 11th, the dispuut will pay a visit to Royal Haskoning DHV, one of Europe’s leading project management, engineering and consultancy service providers. We will visit them in the afternoon from 13.00h to 18.00h during which we will be challenged by an extensive case study for which we will try to find some clever solutions in different teams. It will give us a great insight at what it would be like to work as a project engineer. At the end of the day, all the teams will show their solution with a short presentation. To successfully work on the case, it is good to have a number of laptops available per team, so if possible, bring one with you. Due to the time, the visit will not include a lunch. However, there will of course be refreshments available during the case, and we will end with some drinks at the end of the day. Since the office of RHDHV is located fairly close to the train station of Rotterdam Alexander, we will travel there by train instead of by car. Instead of reimbursing everybody for the use of their ‘OV-chipcard’, we will skip the contribution for this excursion. Registrations are now closed. Study trip Germany (28-11-13 & 29-11-13)
Study trip Germany, 28th and 29th of November It’s a longstanding tradition to have a two-day excursion to Germany, held during the second quarter of the study year. It is a tradition we definitely like to keep, so this year will be no exception. The excursion will be held on Thursday the 28th and Friday the 29th of November. We expect to leave early in the morning on the 28th and be back in Delft in the afternoon on the 29th(please note, this is different from what was mentioned earlier!). In Germany, we will visit one of the mines of RWE. They operate a number of very impressive pieces of bulk equipment (stackers & reclaimers), which are definitely worth seeing! Besides RWE, another company related to transportation engineering will be visited. It will be the first opportunity after the introduction days in Haarlem to once again spend time with the entire group, so we hope everybody is able to make it! The cost for the trip are €50.- per person, this includes transport, all meals and accommodation. Derde NetwerkNieuws van 2013
Het bestuur van Dispuut Transportkunde Pandora presenteert met trots de derde en laatste NetwerkNieuws van 2013. Nummer 3 van jaargang 22 is deze week verzonden naar onze alumni en studenten. Met hulp van de auteurs hebben we weer een leuk en informatief tijdschrift kunnen maken. Bent u alumnus of student, en heeft u het NetwerkNieuws niet ontvangen? Controleer dan nu uw gegevens in onze alumnidatabase. Ook onze studenten kunnen zich inschrijven! U vindt de alumnidatabase hier. Ook TEL-alumni kunnen zich nu inschrijven in de database. Het NetwerkNieuws wordt al vele jaren uitgebracht en heeft vorig jaar al een flinke slag gemaakt op het gebied van layout. Na deze editie wordt ook de inhoudelijke kant van het magazine eens onder de loep genomen. We zijn benieuwd naar uw leeservaring en de onderwerpen die u in de toekomst graag in NetwerkNieuws terug zouden willen zien.
