New Years Drinks (06-01-2014)
With the days getting shorter, and the temperature slowly reaching below zero, I’m sure it hasn’t gone unnoticed that 2013 is coming to an end. To give the new year a proper start, we like to invite all of you (both students as well as faculty) to join us and share a drink, celebrating the new year! We will do so on Januari the 6th in ‘Het Lagerhuysch‘ here on the faculty of 3Me, between 17:00h and 20:00h. Since this is the first day back at the TU, we are sure it will be the perfect moment to share your holiday stories. We hope to see you then, but for now, enjoy the holidays and happy new year!
Excursion EMO Bulk terminal – for students following WB3419-03 (08-01-14)
Now that the lectures of Characterization and Handling of Bulk Solid Materials are slowly progressing towards the end, we thought it may be interesting to go out and look at a real bulk terminal. Therefore a excursion is organized to EMO (Europees Massagoed- Overslagbedrijf) on the 1st Maasvlakte in Rotterdam in the morning of 8 january 2014. This terminal is the biggest in handling dry bulk materials in Europe and is mainly focussed on handling with iron ore and coal. Unfortunately there is only place for 40 students to join us on this excursion so we handle a first come, first serve system for the registrations. Transportation will be arranged by us and more info will be send to the participants. We have reached the maximum number of participants! You can still join the back-up list by clicking here. Study tour destination reveal (17-12-2013)
During the last coffee break, the study tour committee already revealed the continent which we will visit during the upcoming study tour. However, the really important question is which country it’ll be. Luckily, we are about to find out! We are all invited by the study tour committee to join them for some drinks on december 17th during which the grand reveal will take place. The first few drinks will be on them, so please join us between 18.00 and 20.00 for a few beers and the reveal which will take place at 19.00. The location is ‘het congregatie gebouw‘ on the ‘Brabantse turfmarkt 9′ in the center of Delft. We will definitely join them, hopefully, you will too!
