On the 2nd of May, Mieloo & Alexander visited the TU to deliver a lunch lecture to TEL students. The main focus of this lecture was on the company’s RFID and autoID consultancy projects and the wide range of sectors to which they provide this technological integration.
Within the commercial sector, the RFID projects have aided reliable in-store inventory management systems and in one cutting edge store in Berlin, M&A helped create a 21st century shopping experience through the use of various RFID technologies in collaboration with a mobile application.
In the more traditional TEL applications within industry, there was also some great examples of how the technology is being implemented for logistical tracking. From forklift tracking with barcode technology in a warehouse application through to the Real Time Locating System that was provided to an automotive stock handling company, the range of possibilities proved very surprising.
The greater insight gained into the applications of RFID makes the upcoming excursion with M&A ever the more exciting prospect as we will have the chance to visit one of these project companies and see first hand how the technology is integrated.
